Though born and raised in Minnesota, Laura has made California home since 2003. As a military spouse, she dedicated countless hours to the achievement of family readiness both before, after, and during deployments. During this time, she was appointed to the role of Coordinator by the Commanding Officer; nominated for numerous awards including Volunteer of the Year and received the Presidential Service Award, as well as attended the Leadership Education Seminar. Her valuable skills and ease with which she spoke to fellow spouses helped to create a strong network of women who endured multiple deployments and developed lifelong friendships.

Prior to military life, Laura developed a passion for web design and began developing sites using her self-taught skills. While volunteering full-time, she also attended college full-time. Earning her A.A.S. in Graphic Design & Multimedia; and then her B.S. in Web Design & Multimedia. She graduated summa cum laude in 2008. After being selected out of her peers for exemplary work, she was featured in an online and digital publication. Her web sites have earned her various awards from the American Association of Webmasters and the International Association of Webmasters & Designers.

She is an active member of the International Webmasters Association and the American Institute of Graphic Arts.

Initially brought on with Cuba Cultural Travel to launch a new web site when travel to Cuba re-opened in 2011, it was quickly determined her keen eye for detail, ability to learn quickly, and initiative would be an asset to CCT.

Over 7 years later, her position within the company has grown to cover aspects of every department. The team at CCT recognize her as an essential part of daily operations.

Laura wears a vast array of hats within CCT including Reservations and Customer Service.
